We would like to give a HUGE shout out to our AMAZING PTA!! Last week during Teacher Appreciation they provided lunch, treats and snacks all week long! It was the perfect break during each day. We felt so loved! Thank you PTA for your time and kindness!

Students in Third, Fourth and Fifth grade have the opportunity to participate in the Iron Springs Choir if they chose. This is something that if they choose to participate requires them to come to school early on Friday mornings for practice. Last week they held a concert for the school and parents. They performed four different numbers with several solos and duets. Thank you to Mrs. Mock and Mrs. Wells for sharing their love for music with our students

Iron Springs Elementary Improvement Goals

Read Across America Day at Iron Springs Elementary is one you could not, would not want to miss! Donning their pajamas and favorite Dr Seuss attire students spent the day reading and participating in Dr Seuss Activities. A Seusstacular lunch was provided by our wonderful lunch ladies with Mrs. Hinman, our Literacy Coach, reading aloud Dr. Seuss books and a special appearance of Cat in the Hat himself. Later that afternoon an assembly was held where Dr Seuss books were brought to life and student's brushed up on their acting skills with help from the Shakespeare Festival Education Team.

It's Dr. Suess Day Thursday, March 2nd! Wear your pajamas and enjoy reading Dr Seuss books, activities and our annual Seusstacular Lunch!

If you get all the questions correct your student's are entered into a drawing for a book from our Book Vending Machine. Winners will be chosen each morning from the previous day. Parents and Guardians! Next week is SEP, January 30th - February 3rd. Monday - Thursday school will be dismissed at 2:30. AM Kindergarten will be dismissed at 10:50 and PM Kindergarten will begin at 12:30 pm! Friday, February 3rd school will be a normal early out. AM Kindergarten will be dismissed at 10:50 and PM Kindergarten will begin at 11:30. School will be dismissed at 1:30
