Iron County K-9 Assembly

Red Ribbon week at Iron Springs Elementary was a huge success!  We had dress up days where students and staff wore red, crazy socks and hair, hats and pajamas.  Our week will end on Monday, October 31st with Halloween costumes.

Students and faculty had the opportunity to participate in two different assemblies.  The first was  with our Iron County K-9 unit. The officers demonstrated how the dogs sniff out drugs and how they use the dogs for other areas of police work. The assembly ended with the Iron Springs Elementary choir performing "Country Roads" and "You Get a Line, I'll Get a Pole."

The second assembly we were privileged to have Chad Hymas come and share with us how when we choose to take ownership we allow ourselves to see others and become apart of a team.  A team where the impossible can be accomplished.  Chad made a decision in his life that ended up altering the rest of his life.  A decision that changed how he looked at his dreams.    He ended by asking the question; Are my dreams coming true? Yes! Not in spite of trials but because of them.
