What a way to end the year for Iron Springs Elementary!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participated in the very first Ultimate Field Day sponsored by Southern Utah University. Thirty-six of our students competed against other elementary schools across the district in the 100m, 800m, and softball throw events — and they crushed it!
Not only did Iron Springs bring home 1st place overall, but our students also showed incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit. The cheering section was just as amazing, with all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders there to support and celebrate their classmates.
Staff members from each school also joined in on the fun and raced too! Iron Springs was proudly represented and both Mr. Urbanek and Mr. York placed in their races. Way to go, Miners!
Way to go, Iron Springs! We are so proud of our athletes and the way they represented our school! Have a fantastic summer and we will see all our amazing students in August.
