5th graders at Iron Springs Elementary graduated from the DARE program last week after a 10 week course where they are taught good decision making skills for healthy and safe lives by Officer Banz. Among the things they learned were refusal skills, communication skills and positive things they can do in their school and community. It was Officer Banz birthday and they took the opportunity to celebrate him with a fun party hat and everyone singing Happy Birthday to him. We are grateful for the time and effort he puts into helping our students.
