Colonial times

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving is always an exciting day for your 5th grade students.  They have spent the last several weeks learning about the Colonial Time period in Language Arts and Social Studies that concludes with each student writing a paper on a Colonist and having Colonial days at school.  Students can dress up to match the colonial period and participate in different activity stations.  Some of those activities are candle and butter making, cross stitching, making of bricks, games and a sweet treat of biscuits.  We are always grateful for the parents who volunteer and support our teachers in helping our students to have these opportunities.  This year we had the opportunity to have our school board as well as Superintendent Hatch and other district office members join in the fun.
