red ribbon week contest prizes

We started Red Ribbon Week off with an amazing assembly with K9 units from law enforcement officers within Iron County.  Students had the opportunity to see how the K9's are able to sniff out drugs,  people, weapons and other items that police officers are looking for.  A dogs nose is 400 times stronger than a humans nose. K9's also demonstrated how they protect their partners and restrain those that are trying to create harm.

A classroom contest was held during Red Ribbon Week last week.  Classes worked to keep their classrooms clean.  Our amazing Custodians would then chose the cleanest classroom from each grade level at the end of each day.  The classrooms with the most tallies would win a basket full of playground balls, jump ropes and wall balls.  Students did a fantastic job keeping their classrooms clean!  Congratulations to Mrs. Carson's Kindergarten class, Mrs. Prisbrey's 1st Grade class, Mrs. Robinson's 2nd Grade class, Mrs. Stokes' 3rd Grade class, Mrs. Jones' 4th grade class, Mrs. Mitchell's 5th Grade class, and Mrs. Palmer's Tier 2 class on winning the baskets.
